My first day of work was good. I have lots to learn and there’s lots of work to be done but I welcome the challenge! I am still so grateful for this opportunity. I’ll be working from 9-7 but maybe leaving a little earlier on Fridays. Some of the staff including my boss took me out for drinks and appetizers after work. The pub we went to was really cool since it reminded me of London. It had tube station signs up and stuff like that. I like my little office. I still need my printer but everything else is set up nicely. My boss said I did a good job with the tasks I was given on Friday. I went to church last night then out to dinner with my friend (her treat as a congrats on my new job). I’ll have to return the favor once my paycheck sstart coming in because she just closed on her condo last Monday and she’s only 25! I’m so happy for her. All is well in my world. Thank God!
Today, 8/8/07 about 9:30AM. I was talking to my mom about how life has been going and Thanking God that it is finally getting better. This last year has been so hard for me and knowing that things are improving makes me so grateful. I am healthy, employed, married, in love and most importantly have renewed my relationship with God.
Officially official! Got the email saying they are pleased to offer me the position and when can I start! I said August 13 unless they would like me to start sooner! Now lets hope my booty can fit into enough clothes that are in my closet.
ETA: Got another email. There’s court on Mondays so I’ll start on Friday (this week)!!!
First I’d like to thank each and everyone of you who have prayed for me and left comments to lift my spirits!
So I actually have good news for a change. I am unofficially employed!!!!!!! I received an offer letter via email today for a firm I interviewed with on August 1. At first they stated they really wanted an admitted attorney so I thought I was out then they asked if I would consider working as a part-time law clerk until admission (I said yes) then today they offered me the full time associate position!!!! I guess I somehow impressed them and I’m so happy. Thank God I am employed! I have no details about when I’ll be starting but I got all the salary, vacation, sick day info and I will have health insurance coverage too.
